Green to produce locally

Grønt at producere lokalt

At Danfilter we have for a long time focused on sustainable development, which is currently at the forefront worldwide, and we want to contribute as much as possible to the environment. This is one of the primary reasons why Danfilter has both its production and warehouse in Denmark.

By producing locally in Denmark, we reduce the transportation time of goods to our primarily Danish customers, thereby also reducing CO2 emissions. At Danfilter, we are aware that production in factories can contribute significantly to environmental pollution. It is important for us to produce our products as green as possible, so as not to have a significant impact on the climate.

The power for our various machines and techniques comes from green energy sources such as solar and wind energy. This helps reduce our emission of pollutants, making Danfilter a company with sustainability at the forefront.

Denmark vs China

According to a study from DTU (Technical University of Denmark), it has been proven that Chinese-produced goods emit up to 5 times more CO2 than a Danish-produced item. The reason for this is that China uses much more coal and has less efficient factories and environmental measures. Therefore, there are environmental consequences every time one chooses to buy a product produced in China instead of a Danish-produced product. In Denmark, far more renewable energy sources are used than in China, which is why the difference in CO2 emissions is so significant.

If the emission of pollutants during the transportation of Chinese goods is taken into account, a product from China may end up emitting up to 10 times more CO2 than a Danish product.

If a Danish company wants to work and produce more sustainably, it is most optimal to have its production in Denmark, as it emits far less CO2. Additionally, one can ensure the use of renewable energy sources.
